Today I am going to share with you a delicious, soft and spongy Dhokla recipe.
Dholka is a popular Indian snack from the state of Gujarat. It is a delicious cake made of spices. The difference between Khaman and Dholka is explained in their recipes and how to make them. A simple Dhokla is made using pounded pulses and rice. Khaman Dhokla is made with gram flour.
Between Khaman and Dhokla, there are their recipes and ways of making them. Dhokla is not only delicious but also a healthy option as it is low in calories and rich in protein.
Dhokla is my favorite. I love eating it all the time and I love making dhokla at home. Dhokla is very easy to make. I don't like to buy it from outside. This is a very easy and simple recipe to make dhokla,
* Material
1) 2 cups gram flour (besan)
2) 1 tsp turmeric
3) 1 teaspoon lemon juice
4) 1 teaspoon salt
5) 1 tsp baking soda or eno
6) 1 tsp oil
* Ingredients for frying
1) 1-2 teaspoon mustard seeds
2) 5/6 curry leaves
3) 3/4 green chilli chopped
4) 5 teaspoons sugar
5) 5 teaspoon oil
6) 1/2 cup water
7) Coriander leaves for garnish
* Method
Take gram flour in a bowl. - Take it out and add 1/2 cup water to it and mix it well.
Next, add baking soda and oil, mix well and let the batter ferment for a few hours
Until the dhokla batter becomes smooth and the lumps break. Then keep it aside for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, heat water in a steamer, then take a dhokla batter and add baking soda or Eno to it, now mix it well.
Once fermented, immediately pour the batter into a greased plate, cover and steam for 15-20 minutes.
After 15 minutes, remove the lid and take it out in a plate and cut the dhokla into small pieces.
- Now heat oil in a pan, then add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and stir for about 1 minute.
Then add some water and sugar, mix well. - Then add it to the dhokla.
Garnish with coriander leaves. Soft and spongy dhokla is ready to eat.
